Mitsubishi HC1600 720p DLP Home Theater Projector user reviews

"Got in on the very last day that they offered the rebate. I had been looking at this for sometime and thought it was time to upgrade my old projector. I have been very impressed with the performance of this projector. I haven't seen any rainbow effect and nor has the 20 plus people that have come over to see movies or watch a game. Setup was easy and colors and settings are easy to adjust. Remote control is pretty basic, which is expected. Fan noise is very quite. If you have a small budget, I recommend getting this projector and pairing it with a good screen instead of blowing your entire budget on a 1080p projector. It looks better than my neighbor's 1080p projector and he is very upset now. The price was right at (after dollar rebate) and free lamp and I was even able to sell my old projector for bucks on Craigslist. It is a nobrainer. "

"We purchased this item after reading reviews about several models. We were looking for a great picture on a budget and this projector really delivered. We have it installed to play on a 92" wide screen and it really is like being at the movie theater, only better because I get to watch as many movies as I want and don't have to get out of my pajama's! I haven't had it long enough to comment on lamp life, and hope that I don't have anything to say about it for years! I would definitely recommend this projector to a friend. "

"For me this is a good product. I am getting a 110" screen on a painted wall (using Behr Silver Screen Paint). Image is really good when playing DVD's upconverted to 720P. When playing cable I have it connected via s-video. Even though the projector shows the image arriving as 720P (via my Receiver) the image is no where near the same as the DVD but oh well. For the price, fantastic! "

"I use this projector as my living room TV. It provides 100+ inches of HD quality picture, and hooks up easily into a cable/satellite set top box. It has normal component inputs for HDMI and digital audio. The fan is noisy by default, but you can turn the bulbs to a lower setting and this slows down the fan and prolongs bulb life.

Keep in mind that you'll probably want some sort of a home theater receiver that can handle multuple video and sound inputs. The projector only has inputs for one video input (2 if you count the additional HDMI). You need some kind of external speakers. It's a great system and so far has been a good buy. "

"I had to do a lot of research before buying since this was my first projector. For the money I don't think you can find any better; bright, crisp, easy to use, simple installation.
This projector is used to project old movies and art on a concrete wall and the images come out incredible.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone. "
